1st Edition 2009 "Opera critica" Award goes to Roberta Carnevale.
Saturday 21 November 2009. The award ceremony for the Sigismondo Malatesta Association’s “Opera Critica” Award – 1st Edition 2009 - was held at Castello di Torre in Pietra in Rome. The ceremony was attended by all three finalists and several Jury Members (Silvia Carandini, President of this edition, Paolo Amalfitano, Fausto Malcovati, Claudio Vicentini). Once the members had heard the opinion of absent members online (Francesco Orlando, Guido Paduano, Matteo Palumbo), the jury carefully compared the works of these three finalists– Roberta Carnevale, Il corpo nell’opera di Georg Büchner. Büchner e i filosofi materialisti dell’illuminismo francese [The Body in Georg Büchner’s Works. Büchner and French Enlightenment Materialist Philosophers] (under publication, Firenze University Press); Antonio Castore, Il dialogo spezzato: forme dell’incomprensione in letteratura tra malinteso e incomunicabilità [Broken Dialogue: forms of miscomprehension in literature from misunderstandings to inability to communicate](unpublished); Assunta Claudia Scotto di Carlo, “Quando le locomotive erano orchi”. L’infanzia nell’autobiografia (1890-1945) [When Locomotives were Ogres. Childhood in Autobiographies (1890-1945)(unpublished) –taking into account the analytical and methodological qualities of these works and their originality in research on literature, theatre and performing arts before deciding to award Il corpo nell'opera di Buchner. Buchner e i filosofi del materialismo francese by ROBERTA CARNEVALE, which is currently being published. President of the Association, Marina Colonna, awarded the winning work the prize of 3000 Euros.
